Top 5 Katy Perry Songs

Katy Perry is also the first artist I have ever seen in live concert! She first created songs to get the public's attention ("Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed A Girl"), and when she finally got the spotlight, she created awesome songs with catchy hooks, leading to the album (Teenage Dream), which has the record for the album with the most #1 singles (six). Eight singles were released for the album, and every single was a top 3 hit or better ("California Gurls [feat. Snoop Dogg]", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T [feat. Kanye West], "Last Friday Night [feat. T.G.I.F]" and "Part Of Me" [the only one that debuted at #1 ] all peaked at #1, while "The One That Got Away"[#3] and"Wide Awake" [#2] peaked inside the Top 3)! As you can see, she is a very successful singer (her debut album had three Top 10 hits), and I will now list my five favorite songs from One Of The Boys and Teenage Dream.

5. Firework

This lyrical, but catchy song brings great messages and was Katy's third #1 single from her second album, Teenage Dream.

4. I Kissed A Girl

This song was Katy's first charting song and caught the public attention in a positive way. "I Kissed A Girl" is about experimentation, but the music video isn't inappropriate. With a great chorus and awesome guitars, this song doesn't disappoint.

3. E.T (feat. Kanye West)

This song is out-of-this-world (hence the name). It is both bizarre (especially the music video) and amazing.

2. Who Am I Living For?

It always puzzled me why this song was never released as a single (it should have been). The original intro and creative chorus makes this song a masterpiece!

1. Dressin' Up

With its infectious beat and explicit lyrics, my favorite Katy Perry song was never even released as a single (what a shame, it would have done really well). This spectacular song is on (the re-issued) Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check the blog tomorrow as there will be a OHWW on Michael Buble!
