10. If It's Lovin' That You Want
This Caribbean-feel song was her second single in her career and a Top 40 hit in the US. It's a nice change from mainstream pop as its "tropical charm" is different from most music on the charts. The music video has great dancing and is one of Rihanna's best. Its a nice relaxing listen, and is my favorite song from her first album, Music Of The Sun.
9. Only Girl (In The World)
This song gets stuck in your head, as its dangerously catchy. It was her second single from her album Loud and peaked at #1 on the US hot 100.
8. Te Amo
This is Rihanna's only song that sounds like it was produced in Spain. The bridge of the song is the best part, where the Spanish-feel shines the brightest. While the song didn't chart in the US Hot 100, it charted in many other countries successfully.
7. Russian Roulette
Russian Roulette, the first single from Rated R was her worst charting debut single to date, as its slow, dark chords were different than anything else she had ever done before. The song has a sad effect on you, especially when the gun is fired at the end. The very metaphorical lyrics in the song are literall in the music video, as shown below.
6. What Now
What Now is the only song on this list that isn't a single, but it could be in the near future as it's on Rihanna's newest album, Unapologetic. I love how the song changes from a beautiful ballad to a beat pumping dance song when it reaches the chorus. It is my favorite song on Unapologetic, and I hope it gets released as a single soon!
