Hot 100 Friday: April 26

Welcome to Lowmax Music Blogs first Weekly Hot 100 Friday! Here, I will discuss the updated Billboard Hot 100, and some predictions (maybe more like hopes...) on what next weeks chart will look like.

Just as i guessed, Just Give Me A Reason is number one again for a second week, and I am pretty sure it will be for a couple more. But, Cant Hold Us is gonna top the charts soon, as it is already at #2! This song is very different from Thrift Shop, which definitely shows during the bridge, when the trumpets are playing. While When I Was Your Man is dropping, Gentleman is unsurprisingly doing the exact opposite, going up 7 spots from last weeks debut at 12.

I Love It by Icona Pop is inching its way up to the Top 10, as its at #13 at the moment. This song is short, but sweet, and I hope it reaches the Top 10 by next week (watch it reach #11). Harlem Shake is dropping like a rock (thank god) but Selena Gomez' Come And Get It is shooting like a rocket (love the Indian influence in the song, Selena's best song by far). The gay-rights song, Same Love by Macklemore gained some positions from last week (#100 last week, #93 this week). Overall, most songs are dropping on the chart except for a few exceptions (Next To Me by Emeli Sande [did you know that her first name is Adele?] and Taylor Swift's new single, 22).

Next week brings many surprises (will Come And Get It crack the top 20?), so I cant wait until the chart updates next Thursday! Here is the full list: http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100

The next update will be next Friday, around this time. Thanks for reading my first Hot 100 Post, tell me what you think!

Have a nice weekend!
